PUMP

People Under Mission to People

PUMP is a ministry that was started in 1986 and consists of mission groups who offer to share their time, talents and resources in an effort to improve housing conditions for the elderly and poor in our area.

Occasionally, there is also work that needs to be done at other ministries which help the community as a whole.  There are tasks available for both skilled and unskilled volunteers who come with the attitude to do their best and are willing to assist us in fulfilling our Christ-given duty to improve the lives of those who are less fortunate.

The volunteers perform construction-type projects which include wheelchair ramps, handicapped-accessible bathrooms, roof repair, painting, etc.  Work is performed for qualifying resource-limited families or individuals.  Work groups can be local or from anywhere in the United States.  We were blessed to host mission groups from New Jersey, Indiana, and Texas this past year.  There is a cost to your group and sleeping accommodations are available for groups from out of the area.
